    Rohit Sharma fined Rs 12 lakh for MI’s slow over-rate


    Mumbai Indians catpain Rohit Sharma was fined Rs 12 lakh for sustaining a sluggish over-rate in the course of the IPL match in opposition to Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.

    “Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been fined after his workforce maintained a sluggish over-rate throughout their IPL 2021 match in opposition to Delhi Capitals on the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on April 20,” the IPL mentioned in a press release.

    “Because it was his workforce’s first offence of the season beneath the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding a minimal over-rate offences, Mr Sharma was fined Rs 12 lakh,” the assertion added.

    In the meantime, it was leg-spinner Amit Mishra (4/24) who spun an internet across the Mumbai Indians batsman to limit them to 137/9 as Delhi chased the goal with 5 balls to spare.
